A significant milestone has been reached in strengthening the bond between MOSSOKO – Mozambican Students in South Korea and WARESA South Korea with the signature of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the creation of an official website dedicated to Mozambican students living and studying in Korea.

The new platform (sponsored by WARESA South Korea) aims to serve as a hub for information, support, and resources, enhancing communication, networking, and collaboration among Mozambican students in Korea, as well as fostering a greater understanding between African students in Korea.

Key Objectives of the Website:

âś” Student Support: Provide essential information on academic resources, visa regulations, and student welfare services.
âś” Cultural Exchange: Promote the rich cultural heritage of Mozambique while facilitating interactions with the local Korean community.
âś” Networking Opportunities: Connect Mozambican students across different universities and regions in Korea to foster a sense of community and solidarity.
âś” Event Listings: Share details of events, workshops, and social gatherings relevant to the student body, as well as cultural programs showcasing Mozambique’s heritage.
âś” Career Development: Offer tools for internships, job opportunities, and guidance on professional growth within both Korea and Mozambique.

The initiative is part of a broader campaign of Waresa named Waresa SCOPA (Students’ Community Partnership) to support international students from Africa, ensuring they have the resources needed to thrive academically, socially, and professionally.
The website will be a vital tool in promoting the welfare and success of Mozambican students, enhancing their experiences in Korea and facilitating smoother transitions to life in Korea.

One the participants in the seminar stated, “The MOU marks an exciting step forward in providing Mozambican students with the digital tools they need to succeed and connect. The partnership between WARESA South Korea and African students’ communities in Korea will not only strengthen the student communities but also deepen the ties between African nations and Korea.”

The website (mossoko.org )is already active and will be continuously updated with relevant content and features to meet the evolving needs of the student community.
