Vision & Objectives

African young researchers, engineers, entrepreneurs and scientists  were brought together by a common observation that international students from Africa (and of African descent) who complete their studies in foreign countries often face challenges in obtaining high quality and competitive employment opportunities compared to their counterparts from nations such as India, Pakistan, Vietnam.

The World African Researchers, Engineers, Entrepreneurs & Scientists Alliance (WERESA) is an association of national, regional, and international research associations aimed at various objectives, including (but not limited):

(a) Fostering community building among the early career researchers, engineers, entrepreneurs from Africa  and of African descent,

(b) Promote and cultivate the next generation of  scientists, engineers, entrepreneurs and researchers from African and of African descent

(c) Deepen the elements of successful academic and professional development, including the building of a research program, requirements for tenure and other professional benchmarks, pointers for grant proposal and journal writing, mentoring graduate students, preparation for multidisciplinary and multi-cultural collaborations, and negotiating a balance among institutional service, academic writing, and teaching

(d) Using scientific research as strong potential to address stagnant economic growth of African countries and other countries of African descent

(e) Contribute to the social welfare and the industrial development  through the promotion of science, technology,  engineering and entrepreneurship

(f) Advancing education research as a scientific and scholarly field.
